1. What are your rates for mixing multitrack recordings?

It depends somewhat upon the quality of the recording and the performance, the number of tracks and the length of the recording. Typically, its $250.00 per Song, which includes also mastering each track to -14 LUFS. A typical "Song" is less than 4 minutes long and includes 16-32 tracks. 

2. What's the turnaround time on completing a mix/master session?

From start to finish, typically 2 days per song. "Start" time depends on whether there are others in front of you.

3. Are you able to edit my tracks to correct issues like timing and tuning? 

Yes, within reason. Substantial editing is time consuming, however, and we may need to discuss any financial limitations.

4. What are your typical rates for Stereo Mastering? 

Again, it depends somewhat on how much work there is to be done. Typically, between $50-100 per track for tracks that are radio/streaming ready, generally at -14 LUFS.

5. What are your typical rates for Stem Mastering (with corrective mixing)?

6. Are you able to edit and/or create playlists and/or mash-ups for competitions, theatrical performances, dance recitals, etc.?

Yes, of course. We can provide you with a from fillable template to note the requested edits at each coordinating timestamp of the music you provide. Rates for this work are hourly. Email specifics for quotes.

7. Does Greybeard still do commercial/advertising work?

Perhaps...yes? It's complicated.  

Re-issues? Yes! We house all the old reel to reel tapes and almost always have the stereo bounces, usually available in digital.  

Or, If you're interested in a new modern recording of the same classic jingle (with new performers), it's certainly doable. 

Creatively speaking, advertising work is no longer our focus.

Background music for sync is available and can be created to suit.

8. Can I book studio time at Greybeard?

No, but we can recommend other studios that do accept bookings. Greybeard, in its current iteration is a private studio, providing only post-production mixing/mastering and similar services. 

With the availability and frequent utilization of quality, affordable home recording gear,  it's more difficult for studios to justify the overhead of larger, properly isolated recording spaces. Our goal is not to compete with those in the area who have already spent considerable sums on great spaces. Please, go use those spaces, and help keep them open.  

Greybeard CAN help produce your project, and can provide seasoned session musicians to accentuate or replace dummy tracks, if those are services you require.
